Order of the Day: Getting the Job Done

1. We will arrive at the wedding venue approximately 40 minutes before the start of the wedding and photograph the Groom, Best Man, Ushers and any family members.

2. If the Bride is leaving from an address close to the wedding venue (up to 5 miles or so), there may also be time to take some photographs of the Bride at the house. If so, this would be approximately 50 minutes before the start of the wedding.

3. We will take photographs of the Bridal Party (Bride, Bridesmaids and Bride's family) when they arrive at the wedding venue just before the wedding begins.

4. If you wish, and if your minister or priest allows, we will take a few shots during the wedding ceremony. Most ministers and priests don't mind a few shots at 'exchange of rings' and 'you may kiss the bride'. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee this - so it's best for you to ask well in advance of the wedding.

5. We will take photographs of you signing the marriage schedule. Although your minister or priest will always allow us to 'set' these photographs up after you have signed the schedule - they do not normally allow us to photographs the 'live' signings.

6. When the ceremony is finished we will take photographs of you coming up the aisle and at the door of the church. If the aisle is short and narrow we may ask you to pause for a few seconds. If the aisle is long and wide, we will be able to get these photographs without having to pause the procession.

7. After the ceremony we will take most of your wedding photographs. This can be either outside the church, inside the church or at a nearby park or public gardens, or at the reception venue, if suitable. We'll be happy to advise you on various venues close to your wedding venue, if required. These photographs will include the wedding party and any immediate family members who are present.

8. At the Reception Venue we will normally take photos of you with your friends and extended families. Depending on the available daylight and venues this is sometimes best done outside the church, before the wedding party's photographs. When you tell us where your wedding venue and reception venue are, we will be better able to advise you.

9. At the reception venue we will take photographs of the Bride and Groom arriving to a 'reception' and also 'cutting' the cake. The cake is not actually cut at this time - it is just a photographic pose. At this point we would have sufficient photos to populate a photo album or photo book. You may decide that you wish us to remain at the wedding for further photographs: e.g. speeches, presentations, dancing, etc.

10. If you wish we will take photographs during your speeches and your first dance.*
